Event management seems to be a key component of modern life. We certainly do enough of it in our for ourselves, not to mention in the organizations we are a part of. That's where EvCal comes in. It simplifies the management and displaying of events on-line, especially on a website that needs to give a monthly overview of events.

EvCal is currently available in the ASP Edition only. You can download this and use it for free. It is released under the GNU General Public License .

Included in the EvCal ASP Edition release 1.1 are the following:

• The EvCal Management Console
• An Access 2000 database file (evcal.mdb)
• The EvCal ASP Edition HTML User Manual
• The EvCal ASP Edition PDF User Manual (which is separately available from this web site)
• Four display modules that you can copy and paste on to your site
• Two test pages to make sure that your install has worked correctly

For those who use the OpenSong open source lyrics presentation platform, here is the 2001 version of the Turkish Kutsal Kitap in the OpenSong XML Bible format. This version will also work with OpenLP, another open source and free church presentation software suite.

For those who speak Turkish and have a Palm Pilot, here is the new Turkish translation of the Bible. It is a Bible file for Palm Bible+ Reader, which you can download from Sourceforge.net for free. You will also need regionalization software for your Palm, such as PiLoc to be able to display the Turkish characters. This has been successfully used on various Palm devices, including a Trēo 650.

We realize that the Palm platform is all but defunct, but we’ll be leaving this up for the time being, since there are some people who love to hang on to old tech.

Just for archival purposes, here is the older Bible file which contains the Translation Trust’s Old Testament text that wasn’t put through the final edit and the 1994 Müjde (Yeni Yaşam Yayınları) New Testament text. It was designed for Palm Bible Reader, which has been posted on this site for the past years. It runs very nicely on Palm Bible+ Reader as well.

This script is tied to the article “How to Encrypt Microsoft Outlook 2003 Using TrueCrypt” available from WolfHawke.com. It is written in VBScript and relies on Windows Scripting Host to run. It will generate two scripts that will mount a TrueCrypt encrypted drive containing your Outlook.pst and then start Microsoft Outlook 2003. The other script will dismount any TrueCrypt drives that you may have mounted. Once run, this generation script will place shortcuts on your desktop and in your Start Menu to call the generated scripts.

System Requirements:

• Microsoft Outlook 2003
• TrueCrypt 4.3 or newer
